The Huntsville Skating Club and its members are dedicated to promoting skating through instruction, practice, fun, fitness and achievement for all of the citizens of Huntsville and surrounding area.
OUR COACHES
Chrissy Mantle-Marnoch
I have been a part of the Huntsville Skating Club for over 30 years—12 as a skater—and I am entering my 18th year as a coach. I am ISPC certified (formerly Level 2) and now that my children are older, I am starting my journey into my Level 3. I love teaching all levels of skating from Learn to Skate to Adult, and I am Certified in Powerskating. I am also the Huntsville Skating Club Canskate Coordinator and I sit on the board as the Assessment Coordinator and Professional Coach Consultant. I have accompanied many of my students to competitions at all levels including Local, Sectional, Provincial and the Skate Canada's Challenge. I have also watched proudly as my skaters achieve their Gold Tests and reach their skating Goals.
I believe that a great teacher continues to be a good student and as the sport evolves it is important we continue to evolve and grow as well to assist our students in their success. Technique is very important in my lessons and I like to teach that technique in a positive and challenging environment. Skating is one of my passions and I am lucky everyday that I get to enter the rink and share my passion of skating with others.
