Huntsville Skating Club's Refund Policy
Eligibility for Refunds:
Refunds for skating registrations will only be considered in the following circumstances:
• For medical reasons of an individual skater supported by a medical certificate, or
• Where the Huntsville Skating Club is required to discontinue skating programming as directed by the Town of Huntsville, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, or any other regulatory office.
• The Huntsville Skating Club will consider written requests for refunds under extenuating circumstances. Decisions on such requests will be made by the Board of Directors.
Process to request a refund:
If a skater is unable to participate due to a medical reason, a written request for a refund must be submitted to the Club via email (huntsvilleskatingclub@gmail.com).
The request must include:
• Skater and parent names
• Registered skating sessions
• Reason for withdrawal
• Copy of medical certificate
Refund Calculation
All refund amounts will be based on the date of receipt of written notice and they will be calculated as follows:
Registration Amount
Less Skate Canada Fee
Less Volunteer Commitment Fee (if applicable)
Pro-rated by the number of remaining days in the skater’s registration at the date of written notice.
When a discount is received for multiple week registrations and a participant requests a refund, the discount is forfeited.
Ineligible for Refund:
• All sessions completed prior to receipt of written notice.
• Skate Canada Membership fees
• Volunteer Commitment fees, if the volunteer commitment has not been fulfilled.
